Kateri and Jay Schwandt were the proud parents of a dozen boys, and on Wednesday morning, they made it a baker’s dozen.

Kateri gave birth to a healthy, nine pound baby boy on May 13h, making him the 13th Schwandt boy born in a row. The baby has yet to be named.

The odds of having 13 sons in a row is about 1 in 8,000.

Kateri, 40, and her husband, didn’t know the baby’s gender until birth. Though Jay hoped for a girl, Kateri was “pulling for another boy,” according to ABC News.13thboy

“That’s in her comfort zone,” her husband said.

The couple’s 12 boys were hoping for a sister to join their ranks. During an appearance on Good Morning America, the brothers were asked if they wanted another boy. Only three raised their hands.

Kateri told reporters in October of 2014 that she would be fine with another boy in the family.

“Why change things up now?” she said. “At this point, at this stage in the game, a little girl, we’d have to relearn everything,” according to CNN.

Kateri said a lot of work goes into running her household, but it’s worth the effort.

“There’s a lot of activity, a lot of commotion, a lot of chaos, but there’s also a lot of love.

When asked if another boy could be expected, Jay simply said, “You never say never.”  As for a name for their newest little one, Jay says it’s still in the works, because all 12 brothers have to agree.
